I believe every intimate relationship, be it with parents,siblings, friends,love etc., is nothing but a mixture of care(or concern),belonging-ness, trust and a pinch of respect.When it comes to love-birds(), its special because it comes with a topping of 'Physical Attraction'.

Its sad that we become more expressive/creative when it comes to our love/romance and rarely think of showing our warmth feelings to other love-ones.
